Gaudin, Commandant of the 'Rassemblement national populaire '(RNP) occupies the residence of the former French colonial and Interior Minister Georges Mandel on Avenue Victor Hugo number 69. The 'Rassemblement national populaire' was founded in February 1941 by Marcel Deat Party, which collaborated with the Nazis and actively participated in the persecution of Jews. Georges Mandel was tried following the takeover by Marshal Petain on 17 June 1940 with other parliamentarians from the steamship 'Massilia' of Bordeaux in France. At the time he was still free to escape to North Africa. He was arrested in Casablanca by agents of the Vichy regime and brought to France, where he spent the war as a prisoner. He later went to various prisons of the Gestapo, and was held recently in the German concentration Buchenwald
