Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande claimed the 2015 AFC Champions League title here on Saturday (21 November 2015), beating UAE's Al Ahli 1-0 at home in the second leg of the final. The two sides drew 0-0 in their first leg in Dubai on Nov. 7. Tonight, Evergrande's star striker Elkson from Brazil scored the winner in the 54th minute when he picked up a penetrating pass, danced past a central defender and sent the ball into the far corner. Al Ahli's central defender Khamis Salmin got a direct red card on 66 minutes. Guangzhou Evergrande had been crowned in the 2013 AFC Champions League under the rein of Italian legendary coach Marcello Lippi. Now, they are coached by Luiz Felipe Scolari from Brazil. It was the first time for Al Ahli to enter the final of the AFC Champions League.
