The HU 25 is a medium range surveillance fixed wing aircraft used by U.S. Coast Guard. It was originally given the nickname of "Guardian" by the Coast Guard but became more commonly referred to as the "Falcon" and is a military derivation of the Falcon 20 business jet.The Falcon preformed search and rescue, law enforcement such as migrant and drug interdiction, marine environmental protection, and military readiness duties. The first of 41 HU 25s were delivered to the Coast Guard in February, 1982 with deliveries completed by December, 1983.
