28/01/13 Despatch Team Leader, Nancy Kantymir, 43, inspects one of 130, 000 primroses that may be go to waste and be thrown away unless the weather improves. Managing Director of Baginton's Nurseries near Coventry said: "We've already shipped twenty five thousand to nurseries across the country. But they're all just sitting there and not selling. We would have expected more orders now. These flowers, grown under cover, are all ready to go now and there's nothing we can do to slow them down. Unless it stops snowing and raining and warms up, we face having to throw away much of our spring crop. "It's all down to weather, people like a bit of colour to brighten their lives but there needs to be some sunshine before people head out to the garden centres. "They make great flowers to go on windowsills so we hope some people will buy them to go indoors if the weather stays bad" All Rights Reserved - F Stop Press. www.fstoppress.com.
