Racing round the track SUSSEX, ENGLAND. STEP BACK IN TIME with images from the goodwood revival event taken between September 8th 2023 and September 10th 2023. Images show revelers in vintage dress racing vintage cars including incredible Porches and Austins. The only historic motor race meeting to be staged entirely in a period theme, Goodwood Revival is an immersive celebration of iconic cars and fashion. Revive & Thrive is the modern community that drives Revival forward, inspiring us all with creative ways to rethink, repair and re-wear. These images were captured by photographer Asa Diaper at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, Sussex, England on his Nikon Z8 camera and Nikon Z7 II camera. ?The Revival is a huge event drawing people from all over the globe reliving the golden early era of motorsports from the 40s through to the 60s when Goodwood held its last race, ? said Asa. ?The Duke of Richmond, a keen motorsport enthusiast, brought racing back to the iconic track 50 years to the day after it fell silent, September 18th 1998. ?Since then the Revival has grown into what it is today. Bringing cars, bikes and riders from all over to wow the crowds. ?This year saw several celebrations. 25 years of the Revival, 75 years of Goodwood, Carroll Shelbys 100th birthday plus 60 years of Porsche showcasing in a race of early 911 sports cars, ?I managed to capture both one of the earlier 911s in a classic livery racing against one of the latest 911 Cup cars. ?The Goodwood Revival is quite possibly the best, most eclectic mix of historical racing on show today.
