Since the beginning of the current dry season, the water of canals, rivers, canals and ponds in Tannagail has been declining rapidly.Fishing festivals are going on in every village now. Fishing starts before dawn. From children and teenagers to young and old, everyone joins the fishing festival. All of them with flying nets, thala nets, vinya, polo etc. and the children and teenagers went down to the canal empty-handed. After completing the irrigation process where there is knee-deep water, the fishermen go down to the canals. This process of fishing lasts till noon. Later, they met the demand of their family and sold the extra fish in the market. This image of fishing in the village is seen throughout the winter season. And the joy and happiness of children and teenagers to be involved in fishing. They live in the joy of fishing by dipping their whole body in mud and water. Kai, shing, magur, etc., are the most common species of zeal fish caught. Besides, there are fishes like Tengra, Putti, Khailsa, Shoal, Taki, Boal, Chikra, Bain, Katla, Silver Carp etc. During the monsoon season, fish from various water bodies including fishery float and take shelter in ponds, canals and low water bodies. Later in the dry season those fish are caught. At present a lot of fish is available in the market of the village and the price is much cheaper than other times.
