Young Chinese woman Yang Shili earns 150, 000 yuan ($23, 625) per month with self-made food delivery through the messaging app WeChat, or Weixin, Tencent amid the e-commerce boom in Changsha city, central China's Hunan province. Before Yang started her own business, she worked in a pub at night and cooked food at home during daytime. In July 2013, she started her food delivery business with just 500 yuan (USD 79) in capital to sell her meals on WeChat. She targeted rich people as customers and got so busy that she hired six employees after two months. She got orders of 150, 000 yuan one month after the WeChat store opened and managed to buy a Mercedes-Benz sports car three months later, which she drives to deliver food. She believes that the key to her success is the flavor of her dishes and the high quality ingredients she uses.
