L'ibis volant avec la grenouille. ODISHA ; INDE : des photographies SAISISSANTES ont montré les derniers moments d'une grenouille alors qu'elle était prise en sandwich dans le bec d'un affamé
The ibis flying with the frog. ODISHA; INDIA: GRIPPING photographs have shown the last moments of a frog as it was sandwiched in the beak of a hungry ibis. The unfortunate bullfrog was enjoying a paddle in the Mangalajodi wetlands in Odisha, India, when it was spotted by the wading bird. Striking images captured the black-headed ibis spearing the frog with its long bill. With surprising nimbleness, the ibis managed to flip the frog around and appeared to be about to swallow the amphibian head-first down its gullet. The black-headed ibis was also photographed flying over the wetlands with its majestic wings outspread as it held its snack in its beak. Its main diet is fish, insects, and frogs and it lives in wetlands, salt marshes, and even sewage lines. The images were captured using a Nikon D850 camera by IT professional and photographer Sunny Saha Pramanick (37) from Kolkata, India. Sunny had to follow the bird for more than an hour before it caught the frog, making for spectacular captures. ?We were travelling on a boat in Mangalajodi, out in the hot scorching sun, following the Ibis for at least one hour, ? he said. ??Maybe it will hunt now, ? I was thinking the entire time. But finally the Ibis hunted a bullfrog and flew away with it and I got the shots. ?I felt really satisfied after getting the perfect landing shot with the catch.? credit: mediadrumimages / Sunny Saha Pramnick
