Informations supplémentaires:
The new EY Centre at 200 George Street is one of Australia’s most sustainable buildings in Sydney. Its unique in that it incorporates natural timber into the design of the building. No wonder it is classified as a green building. The wooden louvres in the triple-glazed curtain wall enhance the building in warm light and give it a warm golden hue in comparison to the grey buildings surrounding it. 200 George Street is also surrounded by a rich history. Over 23, 000 artefacts were uncovered in the excavation of the site. The most interesting and significant of these artefacts are showcased in display boxes in the Crane Place Staircase. It could be described as a public outdoor art gallery. The reception area of the EY Centre also displays artwork on the interior sandstone walls. On the far right hand side I captured a beam of light spraying down on someone seated.
