A Chinese fan of the British preschool animated television series Peppa Pig started his own business by making "Iron Pig" models from blower shells after being inspired by a scrap-metal Peppa Pig character welded together which is shown in "What is Peppa Pig?", the trailer of the upcoming China-Britain co-production film "Peppa Pig". Han Bing, born in 1980s, and his father weld two nuts on the facade of a household stove blower as eyes, another set as nostrils and one rod as the smile mouth. Then they paint the shell in pink to make it look more vivid and lovely. They are now able to finish one "Iron Pig" in just one hour and have already churned out more than 40 such replicas. The raw materials of each "Iron Peppa" cost them about RMB 70 yuan (US$10.3) and they sell it online at RMB 288 for the real size model and at RMB 188 for the smaller one. But Chinese netizens and legal experts warn that their production and behaviors are suspected to be violating the copyright of the Peppa Pig owner.
