Informations supplémentaires:
Helmsley is a market town and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated on the River Rye, at the junction of the A170 and the B1257 and both the Cleveland Way and Ebor Way begin here. The town sits on the southern boundary of the North York Moors National Park which passes through Helmsley along the A170 road - the western part of the town is therefore within the National Park. It is in fact, the only market town in the North York Moors National Park! Helmsley is full of history - there are 51 listed buildings (including the12th century ruins of Helmsley Castle with Tudor Manor in the care of English Heritage and the Duncombe Park Estate). In 2015 it was crowned best market town high street in Britain. Hunters of Helmsley, situated on the Market Place, is a delicatessen (and family business) that offers a wide selection of products including local as well as continental foods, fine wines, food gift baskets and hampers. At least 70% of the products available in store are sourced from within Yorkshire and supporting local suppliers is a key part of Hunters’ philosophy. The shop won The Independent Retailers Confederation Best Small Shops Competition 2015 and Yorkshire Life Independent Retailer of the Year 2015.
