Informations supplémentaires:
Visiting early in the morning the lesser-known temples of Angkor allows, with a little bit of imagination, to be in the shoes of the first Western explorers who arrived here in the 19th century. Being alone in one of these temples is like a trip to the past. The magnificent remains of the ancient Khmer Empire emerge in the middle of the jungle with an awe-inspiring harmony. I could spend a lifetime photographing these incredible temples, from each of the small details carved into the stones that form them, to its impressive architectural balance. I do not usually add the human figure in my photographs. But when I saw the light filtering through this succession of doors, I knew that including myself in the picture would reflect that exploratory experience I was living.
