Informations supplémentaires:
Monpazier is a bastide town and a commune in the Dordogne département of France. It was home to Eleanor of Aquitaine for a time, and Richard II of England. Nearby is the Château du Biron and the Dordogne River. The Catholic parish church of Monpazier is St Dominique, and masses take place at 11am on Sundays. During the summer months Monpazier hosts a number of events to appeal to tourists, including a cycle race around the bastide (usually at the start of August) a Medieval day ('fete medieval') a kermesse and several specialist markets. Monpazier is also the location of Pascal Guernic, a local glass-blower.
