DB Cargo UK, formerly DB Schenker Rail UK and English Welsh & Scottish Railway, is a British rail freight company headquartered in Doncaster, England. The company was founded in 1995 as North & South Railways, acquiring five of the six freight companies sold during the privatisation of British Rail, becoming the UK market leader in rail freight transportation. Warrington Bank Quay railway station is one of two railway stations serving the town centre of Warrington in Cheshire, England. Warrington Bank Quay is a mainline station on one side of the main shopping area and is managed by Virgin Trains. Arriva Trains Wales and Northern services also serve the station.
