Reportage on Anne-Cécile Ratsimbason, a fashion designer for chronic patients in Nice, France. Anne-Cécile helps the patients by creating bespoke clothing and accessories that are adapted to the pathology and physical condition. She is seen here visiting a child suffering from Hirschsprung’s disease. The little girl has neither intestin nor colon and wears a central catheter for exclusive parenteral nutrition, as well as a gastrostomy button and an ileostomy (an artificial anus). This is the designer’s 4th visit. This time she has designed an accessory enabling the stomy to be carried more easily. The system will flatten the pouch without compressing it. She is also working on a vest in waterproof fabric, with a pouch to hold the catheter so that the little girl can shower normally.
