"Petition for the legalization of medicinal cannabis use For many years cannabis has been recognized as useful or necessary to help or treat certain diseases. It is also recognized in the treatment of particularly serious diseases (glaucoma, anorexia), ... is effective as a medicine, (Alzheimer's, muscular dystrophy or multiple sclerosis), or to accompany the treatment of cancer patients or AIDS. We urge the authorities to reconsider their decision on cannabis so that it is accessible, whether by authorized persons (chanvriers), personal or plantations, whether smoked or ingested, inhaled, or as a tea, for the well-being and choice for patients. In many areas cannabis is less expensive than the drugs, not always effective in the pharmaceutical industry, the right to treat as everyone wants is a fundamental right. Laws against the recreational use of drugs apply unfortunately the same way to these therapeutic uses. So, seriously ill people are prevented - or discouraged - the use of care they need and they vitally." (Global Cannabis March Website) smoking weed
