West Dean Gardens Chilli Festival, Chichester West Dean's Chilli Fiesta has run since 1995 and is a mecca for devoted chilli fans from all over the World. With over 300 chillies and sweet peppers on display in the immaculate glasshouses, all manner of shapes, sizes and colours can be seen. This includes the famous, hot Naga Jolokia pepper, also known as Bhut Jolokia, Ghost Chilli or California Death Pepper.The Chilli Fiesta is one not to be missed this Summer. With its wonderful and vast collection of over 200 chillis grown in the Victorian Glasshouses and displayed in rows; every shape and size of fruit can be seen, ranging from the serene green through to burning hot. Chilli growing, cooking demonstrations and tastings abound, ranging from the mild to very hot chilli sauces, jams, salsa, chutney, relish and marinades.
