GRENADE, Nicaragua — Iglesia de la Merced est considérée comme l'une des plus belles églises de Grenade. Il a été construit à l'origine en 1539, mais dans les siècles suivants, il a été détruit ou endommagé et reconstruit plusieurs fois. La façade baroque actuelle date de 1783. La rénovation la plus récente de l'église a eu lieu après avoir été endommagée par les hommes de William Walker en 1854, avec la restauration faite en 1862.
