Presenter John Craven was today, Thursday 4th April 2002, returning to children's bulletin Newsround for the first time in more than a decade as the show celebrates its 30th anniversary. He is to co-host the birthday edition of the pioneering show which he started and which originally bore his name. He anchored the show until 1989. Craven, 61, has not been back to the studio since then but will team up with current presenter Becky Jago for today's show. They will look at the day's stories and look back at key moments from the show's history. Craven, who now fronts Sunday morning BBC1 show Countryfile, began the trend of including a quirky '... and finally' story on news bulletins.
