Keith Richards and Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, Charlie Watts in bg.with Mick Jagger they formed The Rolling Stones with Keith Richards in 1963. They took the name from a Muddy Water's song 'Rollin Stone Blues'. They were joined by Brian Jones (committed suicide 1969), and Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman. They made their first record in May 1963 callled 'Come On', it reached No.21, their second single was given to them by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, 'I Wanna Be Your Man' it reached No.12. Their first big hit came later in 1964 it was untitled and contained no writing on the cover. They were locked in a kitchen and told not to come out until they had written something. 'Tell Me' was the result. In June of 1964 their first No.1 was 'It's All Over Now', This was followed by 'I Can't Get No Satisfaction, 'Little Red Rooster', 'Get Off Of My Cloud', 'Let's Spend The Night Together' 'Miss You' and 'Start Me Up' and many others. He has recently won a Golden Globe award, been knighted by Prince Charles and continues to tour the world with The Rolling Stones.
