Informations supplémentaires:
The grave of Edward Deakin in the non-conformist graveyard in the village of Belmont, Lancashire. The graveyard was formerly the site of the Bethel chapel, built in in 1838. The church moved over the road to a new Congregational Church building in 1898 and the site of the old chapel continued in use as the church's graveyard. The new church continued in use until closure in 1977, just five years after becoming part of the then newly formed United Reformed Church. The graveyard contains the graves of the locally important Deakin family who owned the local spinning mills and bleaching & dying works and who helped finance the new church building. Edward Deakin (1854-1335) was High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1920. This image has no model or property releases assigned to it and is intended for editorial only use.
