The Westin, Delhi is a 310 key five star luxury hotel, which opened in November of 2010. The building is a composition of distinct architectural elements, which have been layered both horizontally and vertically. Anchoring the whole and elevated above a full length cascade and reflecting pool, the open faced granite Loggia affords a view from the street and from within, and contains a collection of architectural set pieces in various materials. Floating above the Loggia, the convex curve of the seven storied Guest Room Wing is fully clad in sheets of fritted glass, which vary in degree of density in relation to their degree of solar exposure. In contrast, the opposite southern exposure of the Guest Room Wing is expressed as a solid sandstone facade articulated with punched openings.
