Maman, a bronze, stainless steel and marble sculpture by Louise Bourgeois in the Jardin des Tuileries or Tuileries Garden in Paris. Les Tuileries is the most central park in Paris. It stretches its "à la française" alleys and lawns along the Seine river from the Louvre museum to the Concorde square. Designed in 1664 by Le Notre, the famous Versailles park designer, the Tuileries garden is spread with basins and statues. It covers about 63 acres (25 hectares) and still closely follows a design laid out by landscape architect Andre Le Notre in 1664.
