Informations supplémentaires:
An Ordnance Survey Trig Point (Triangulation Point) on Darwen Hill, Lancashire. From 1935 Trig Points were installed across the UK as fixed, known positions to mount theodolites, enabling the Ordnance Survey to make accurate maps of the country. To a great extent their function has now been superceded by aerial photography and GPS systems. Beyond the trig point, he Walker Industrial Estate and the M65 on the south-east fringe of Blackburn lie in the valley between Pendle and Darwen Hill. This image has no model or property releases assigned to it and is intended for editorial only use.
