As patron of the National Osteoporosis Society, she was to officially receive the Prince on his arrival at London's Somerset House and escort him around during the evening, introducing him to other guests. Mrs Parker Bowles, whose mother died of osteoporosis in 1994, will not be giving a speech at the drinks event, which is to mark the charity's 15th birthday.
