KRI Rigel (933) is the newest Hydro-Oceanography ship of the Indonesian Navy. KRI Rigel-933, the most advanced warship in Asia made of aluminum weighing 560 tons with dimensions of 60.1 meters long and 11.5 meters wide. It is equipped with AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) equipment that performs undersea imaging to a depth of 1000 meters and sends data periodically to the main ship in this case the BHO vessel. In addition, it is also equipped with ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle), SSS (Side Scan Sonar), Laser Scaner to get the mainland picture, AWS (Automatic Weather Station), deep sea amarosounder and Singlebeam, CTD (Conductivity Temperatureand Depth) Equipment, Gravity Corer, Laboratory completeness and fishery survey capability.
