Siegfried Wagner House, a listed building, was built by Wagner’s son Siegfried in 1894 and lived in by his widow, Winifred, until her death in 1980. The decor on the ground floor has been kept in its original 1930s state. Siegfried Wagner House, a listed building, was built by Wagner’s son Siegfried in 1894 but modified in Art Deco style and lived in by his widow, Winifred, until her death in 1980. The decor on the ground floor has been kept in its original 1930s state. The residential building for Siegfried, the composer's son, was completed in 1894 in neo-renaissance style based on a design by Carl Wölfel (the architect of Wahnfried's house) and was significantly expanded by Hans Reissinger in the 1930s. This building is the most historically charged site on the site. On the one hand, because many Nazi greats, starting with Hitler, went in and out there at the invitation of Siegfried's wife Winifred, on the other hand, because the landlady, who was convinced of Nazi ideology until the end of her life, was allowed to live there again since 1957 after it used by the US Army as an officers' club and later as a brothel. The ground floor, which has been preserved from the 1930s, is now being made accessible to visitors for the first time.
