It said the restrictions were put in place at the same time as the ban on moving pigs from the affected regions in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. 25/11/2000: More than 100 farms affected by swine fever have been declared free of the outbreak. Farmers at 122 sites can now move their pigs from two designated infected areas in Norfolk, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food said.The bans, which affected some 60, 000 animals, were imposed following the lightning spread of the highly infectious disease.
