BP Helios House, the first LEED certified gas station in the US, is located in Los Angeles, Southern California, USA. The station has many environmentally-friendly features. The canopy covering the station houses 90 solar panels that supply power for the station. It is clad in recyclable stainless steel panels which reflect sunlight reducing lighting demand. Among other features are energy efficient LEDs used for lighting, concrete mixed with recycled glass, drought-resistant plants used for landscaping, rain water collection for irrigation of the plants.
