A ghost town located in the center of Arizona on U.S. Route 66 (US 66) between Flagstaff and Winslow, Twin Arrows is a symbol of Arizona's past. When Interstate 40 (I-40) was built, motorists no longer had to take US 66 to reach Twin Arrows Trading Post. It did not take long for the Twin Arrows Trading Post to decline in business and then to change owners. The store/diner/service station/gift shop eventually closed in 1995 and was abandoned. A portion of Twin Arrows' property is owned by the Hopi tribe and is part of the Navajo and Hopi reservations. To the north of the trading post site, the Twin Arrows Navajo Gaming Casino opened in 2013. The sculpture on the album art of Blue States' "Man Mountain" is the twin arrow sculpture.
