Informations supplémentaires:
Saturday 30th June 2012. Bury, England. A chartered train excursion run by 'UK Railtours', 'The Rossendale Venturer', arrives rom London at Bury station on the East Lancashire Railway preserved heritage line. the 12 carriage long train carried some 500 rail enthusiast passengers on this trip to northern England to travel behind the Standard 4MT tank engine also visible in the picture. The train from London was longer than the station could accomodate so the excursion train was forced to shuttle backwards and forwards in the station confines to clear points at each end of the station in order to allow the normal heritage line services to enter and leave the platforms. The excursion train was hauled by two EWS Class 66 diesel-electric locomotives, one at each end of the train to obviate problems which would have been incurred in one engine trying to run round the train.
