In the centre the famous Freetown Christiania (The Town), a self-proclaimed autonomous neighbourhood of about 850 residents, covering 34 hectares (85 acres) in the borough of Christianshavn in the Danish capital Copenhagen. The old defence canal "Stadsgraven". Kløvermarken grass-covered sports grounds to the right. Further away the oil terminals and the wind turbine farm Middelgrunden outside the port of Copenhagen in the Sound. Sweden in the distance. The Freetown Christiania offers a lot of cultural events, concerts, restaurants, a meaningful, alternative living and solidarity for many people, and production and sale of many useful and solid products, such as the Christiania bike, but also hosts cannabis trade in the so-called "Pusher Street".
