Chenies Manor House and garden is in the delightful village of Chenies near Amersham in Buckinghamshire. The house is a Grade 1 listed building. Henry V111 and Queen Elizabeth 1 were both entertained there. The many chimneys are an interesting feature of the building which is set in most beautiful gardens well manicured by the present owner and her team. The spring tulips and summer dahlias are featured in the sunken garden. The pavilion has been restored and is an architectural feature itself. Through the archways and paths you will find the Physic garden with its collection of medicinal plants and the building which houses the deep well. TV and film frequently use the setting for filming. The grounds are extensive and the two mazes and kitchen gardens are also well worth a visit. The house and gardens are open on Bank holiday Monday afternoons and Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from April to end of October 2pm to 5pm.
