Picture: Kylie Reid IT began life as a local Facebook group, where women could swap tips and recommendations for local businesses and services. Now the Edinburgh Gossip Girls (EGG) phenomenon has almost 9, 000 members - and has morphed into a full-time business for its founder. Kylie Reid launched the group two years ago after moving to Edinburgh from Glasgow She has now created a website and a membership card which she sells, in limited quantities, to full members for £20, which gives discounts at local businesses - as well as creating sub-groups for selling unwanted items and for an EGG running club (Runny EGGs), which is to host its own 10k event in September. Women who use the site offer each other advice on everything from the best place to get a haircut to preferences for local schools - as well as job opportunities and childcare.
