Informations supplémentaires:
Rivington Hall, Rivington, Lancashire is a grade II listed former manor house in Lever Park, about seven miles north-west of Bolton. Though it stands in the middle of a public park, it is a private residence. The original manor house dated from the 15th century, though the present building is largely late 17th century with the Georgian style frontage dating from 1774. After use as a troop base and by the Ministry of Food , following the second world war the property was derelict and was leased and restored by William Salmon from1953 onwards. His successors are resident in the house, which is also the base for Salmons (Caterers) Ltd who operate the nearby Rivington Hall Barn which is a popular venue for visitors to Lever Park and Rivington Park and for dining, concerts and weddings. Lever Park, in which Rivington Hall stands, was gifted to the people of Bolton as a country park by Lord Leverhulme in 1904.
