Blu's face is not visible in this photo to respect his wish to remain anonymous. He is therefore portrayed from behind while he paints his work on the facade of the former Judicial Psychiatric Hospital a few months after it had been occupied to build the "Je so Pazz" social center. Blu is an Italian artist. Active under a pseudonym, in 2011 the daily newspaper The Guardian reported him as one of the ten best exponents of street art in circulation. In the 2000s and 2010s Blu's activity became international, but remained mainly linked to the street and free and accessible to all. This position was reiterated in March 2016 by Blu himself who, together with other street artists, decided to erase all his works from the walls of Bologna created in twenty years of activity. This artistic and political action is carried out as a protest against the choice of the municipality and the ONLUS headed by Fabio Alberto Roversi Monaco and against the "privatization" and commodification of creativity: some works were taken from the degraded places where they were created to exhibit them in a conventional street art exhibition at Palazzo Pepoli, sometimes against the opinion of the artists and in contradiction with the city's anti-degradation policy.
