Informations supplémentaires:
An autumn morning setting with surrounding peaks in the small fishing city of Svolvar on the Lofoten archipelago in northern Norway, Scandinavia. The main industry of the Lofoten is fishing and the main fish is Stockfish or cod. It is filleted, and dried in the winter wind and sun without the use of salt on the Hjell. The Stockfish is an important ingredient of Norwegian cuisine and is Norway’s oldest export. Local industries produce cod liver oil and fertilizer manufacturing. The Lofoten is an archipelago of seven islands connected by the 110-mile-long E10 highway that stretches out into the North Atlantic Ocean above the Arctic Circle on the west coast. The region is known for its dramatic and picturesque scenery, very popular with tourism for its high peaks, fjords and numerous small fishing villages with dark red painted wooden buildings with white window and door frames. Some have grass roofs.
