The Sensus M8-XE is a variant of the Sensus M platform and is a high-efficiency, medium-sized multirotor UAV that features eight coaxial motors and a dual 6S 16Ah, 22Ah or 25Ah battery pack. A robust unmanned aerial vehicle, ISS Aerospace produced the Sensus M UAS as a VTOL multirotor and designed it for a broad range of tasks. The Sensus primarily targets the energy, environment, and defence sectors as it is a capable logistics, surveillance, and survey platform. ISS Aerospace designed the Sensus capable of taking a range of different payload options for different data capture operations and built from the ground up to be modular, allowing for payload and battery configurations to be interchanged between the top and bottom payload rails whilst still having access to power and data feeds. The Sensus features no less than 12 independent access hatches which can be tailored for different avionics combinations and mounting of in/out components and sensors. Designed, manufactured, and built in house at ISS Aerospace. The core hull comprises of 3D printed Nylon with chopped carbon fibre strands. Other key components are further reinforced with either continuous carbon fibre, fibreglass, or Kevlar using our Markforged Mark Two printers. We also machine all our own carbon fibre sheet materials. Structures are held together with a combination of aerospace grade Tappex inserts and K-Nut anchor and floating anchor nuts, whilst any fixings are made with marine grade stainless steel or aerospace grade Aluminium/Titanium. Featuring two options available for its power source the Sensus can run on traditional Lithium Polymer batteries but has also been designed for use with the Intelligent Energy 800W Hydrogen fuel cells, and is available from ISS Aerospace in this configuration with integrated fuel cell or regulator, and Hydrogen cylinder. Depending on which options and payload you choose the flight time can be extended up to a total of 90 minutes.
